Dear friends,
With our reality changing from week to week, the challenges faced by HaMoked are greater than ever. Under the threat of annexation, Coronavirus restrictions, and the grinding everyday reality of occupation, we continue to provide paralegal and legal assistance to hundreds of Palestinians each month, and to challenge Israel’s discriminatory policies in the occupied territories.
The current uncertainty also affects HaMoked’s fundraising efforts: many foundations are unable to commit to long-term funding, and donors’ priorities are changing. At the same time, HaMoked, like most human rights organizations in Israel, does not receive any support from the Israeli government.
In the coming days, Israeli citizens and residents are to receive a governmental grant of 750 shekels or more, intended to help us get through these difficult times.
If your income has not been harmed by the crisis, and you feel financially secure, we’d be very grateful if you choose to donate your governmental grant (or part of it) to HaMoked. This is your opportunity to channel some of the Israeli government’s support to the fight against the occupation, and to help HaMoked weather the Coronavirus crisis and continue providing vital assistance to Palestinians whose rights are violated by Israel.
Information about how you can donate to HaMoked can be found in this link.
Wishing you health and peace, and thanking you in advance for your support,
Yossef Schwartz
Chairperson of HaMoked
